|
|
|
|
What is required to be eligible to
hunt or fish in Alberta? |
|
|
~ |
All
hunters and anglers need a valid
Wildlife Identification Number (WIN)
card before they can buy any hunting
or fishing licenses or apply for a
draw. |
~ |
All hunters
must have a valid Wildlife Certificate plus
the applicable licenses for the species and
the seasons hunted. |
~ |
Bow hunters
must have a Bowhunting Permit in addition to
the Wildlife Identification Number (WIN) and
the Wildlife Certificate. |
~ |
All persons
sportfishing in Alberta are required to hold
an Alberta Sportfishing License, except:
youths under 16 years of age, Alberta
residents ages 65 and older, and Native
Indian people. |
|
|
|
|
|
What is a
WIN? |
A WIN is your
unique Wildlife Identification Number which
is required to purchase all of your fishing
and hunting licenses in Alberta. |
Hunters and
anglers in Alberta must possess a 10-digit
Wildlife Identification Number (WIN) before
applying for or purchasing any license or
wildlife certificate. |
The WIN can be
purchased at
AlbertaRELM.com for $8.00 and is valid
for five years. You can also purchase a WIN
card at any license issuer. Immediately
after purchasing your WIN card, you will be
able to purchase your hunting draw
application and/or sport fishing license. |
If you have
any questions about the WIN card or the
online licensing system, please contact the
AlbertaRELM Call Centre, toll free in North
America, at 1-888-944-5494. You can also
send email inquiries to AlbertaRELM at
drawhunt@ca.ibm.com. |
